There are options in the capital Wellington as well as schools in attractive smaller locations like Whanganui.

Whanganui High School

Whanganui High School is the largest school in Whanganui with about 1800 students. The school offers a great variety of subjects to choose from, with more than just the traditional secondary school subjects. A well established international department takes care of all the international students and makes sure they fit in well with the local students. During their stay the international students live with local Kiwi families which are carefully selected.

Onslow College

Onslow College is situated in the suburb of Johnsonville, 10 minutes Wellington by car.

Onslow College is a well-known secondary school with a broad variety of subjects to choose from, especially interesting for international students, with subjects like outdoor education. International Students live with local host families.

Te Puke High School

Te Puke high School is friendly school with about 1000 students and 30 international students. It has experienced international department
, Wide selection of academic and practical subjects such as sports, music, performing arts. It also provides home stay accommodation.

Spotswood

Spotswood College has hosted international students from Italy, Germany, Brazil, Japan, USA, China, Russia, New Caledonia, Sweden, Switzerland and Thailand. It has specific facilities and staff members to support them during their time in New Zealand.

Kapiti College

Käpiti College is situated in Raumati Beach, the Sunshine Coast of NZ.
It ranked NCEA results in top 10 in Wellington. In 2019 ERO report, Käpiti College is evaluated to provide an inclusive curriculum academic as key strength. Stuedents can also experience exceptional academic out door sports such as aviation, golf.

Whanganui Collegiate School

Highly appreciated school in Wanganui with an impressive campus kept in a classical English “College” Stil. Excellent setup due to small class sizes, broad selection of subjects and various activities beyond lessons.
The school ranks among New Zealand’s Top 10. Collegiate offers international certificates (Cambridge, IB) and has an excellent reputation in sports (e.g. rowing) as well as theatre and music.
